  • Notes 
    • He was born in Dornach, Southerlandshire Scottland Jan 1 1821. Being 90 yrs, 6mo and 12 days. In 1830, he emigrated with his parents, and settled in the township of Lanark, where he lived until 1844, when he married Marion McKay and moved to the farm where he died 67 years later. Mrs. Munro died 36 years ago. He leaves 3 sons and 1 daughter; John Munro, of Dungannon, Ontario, Alex T. and Hugh Munro of Darling, and Mrs. John Shane of Warren, Ontario. Burial in Middleville cemetary. (Lanark Era, issue Wednesday July 19, 1911)
