- Evelyn (Miner) Thorpe, 73, of Governor Bill O'Neil Drive, East Hampton, passed away unexpectedly Friday, (October 12, 2001) at home. She was born in Middletown, Sept. 20, 1928, daughter of the late Walter and Anna Miner, and had resided in East Hampton for many years. Before her retirement she was a claims examiner for American Mutual Insurance Co. Evelyn was a member of St. Patrick Church, East Hampton, and a former member of East Hampton Senior Citizens. She is survived by her loving family, three sons, John F. Kissinger and his wife Patricia, Stephen J. Kissinger and his wife Rhonda, and Paul T. Kissinger and his wife Cheryl, all of East Hampton; two daughters, Sharon K. Heath and her husband, Thomas of Stafford Springs, Jeanne Urban of Middletown; seven grandchildren, John A. Kissinger, Amy E. Flynn, Adam T. Heath, Elisha M. Kissinger, Eric S. Kissinger, Stephanie Kissinger, Joshua Kissinger; and a great-grandson, Nathan Flynn. The funeral service will be held Monday, 10 a.m. with a Funeral Liturgy at St. Patrick Church, East Hampton. Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, East Hampton. Friends are invited to call the Spencer Funeral Home, 112 Main St., East Hampton, Sunday, 3-5 p.m.
