  • Notes
    • FREDERICK, Gene Paul - At North Bay Regional Health Centre on Tuesday, February 15, 2011, after a year-long battle with cancer. He was in his 69th year. Gene was the beloved husband of Nancy (Byers) of Chisholm, father of Kim of Lindsay and like a father to Shelley. He was the proud grandfather of Katelyn and Carley. Gene is survived by his mother Margaret Frederick and siblings John “Jack“ Frederick (Agnes) and Sharon Bartraw (Jim), all of Powassan. He was predeceased by two infant daughters and his father Lester “Stanley“ Frederick (1910-1993). After many years as a welder at ACME Welding in North Bay, Gene and his brother Jack operated Frederick Farm Supply in Powassan. Gene recently retired from many years of garbage collection in Chisholm. The Frederick family will receive visitors at the PAUL FUNERAL HOME in Powassan on Friday from 10 to 11 am with a service to follow at 11 am. Cremation has taken place. If desired, donations may be made in memory of Gene to the Canadian Cancer Society. For more information, to request a Memory Card, or to make a donation, please contact the Paul Funeral Home, Powassan,
