- May 28, 2008 William E. Agley, 75, of Syracuse, died on Wednesday at St. Joseph's Hospital. Mr. Agley was a veteran of the Air Force and retired after more than 30 years of service from Carrier. He also taught a HVAC course at BOCES. He was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church and enjoyed golfing and bowling. He was predeceased by his wife, Margaret who died in 2000. He is survived by his two sons, Matthew L. of Cicero, Mark L. of Bridgeport; two daughters, Mary Ellen Phelan of Liverpool, Maureen Ann Cohen-Agley of Grafton, MA; a sister, Jean Cullen; 11 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services are Saturday at 9 a.m. at the Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home and at 9:30 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Church. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Calling hours are Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home, 3111 James St. Contributions may be made to the Blessed Sacrament Church Outreach Program.
