    • Gerald R. Hobbs, age 86, of Bath, NY, died Wednesday, October 25, 2017, at the Steuben Center in Bath, NY. He was born in Binghamton, NY September 6, 1931, the son of the late Leon and Mildred (Dann) Hobbs. Mr. Hobbs was an Air Force Veteran. He was retired from Philips Lighting in Bath, NY. He was a member of many local organizations and had a lifelong love of playing music.
      He is survived by his wife Dorothy (Dickie) Hobbs of Bath; children, Patricia Bennett of Corning, NY, Jeannine (Jim) Prunoske of Sherburne, NY, JerriLyn Baker of Bath, NY and David (Kim) Hobbs of Bath; 10 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren, his brothers Richard Hobbs and Nelson Hobbs, sister Lois Gleason, brothers-in-law William Townsend and Robert Townsend, sister-in-law, Ferolyn (Ray) Swain and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Robert Hobbs and sister-in-law Dolly Townsend.
      Calling hours will be held on Tuesday October 31, 2017 from 12:00-2:00 pm at Fagan's Funeral Home, 31 West Morris St., Bath, NY with funeral services to follow at 2:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Alan Lindmark officiating.
      Graveside services will follow with military honors at the Wheeler Cemetery.
