Annie C. Powers LaPlace of Boston Post Road, Old Saybrook, and formerly of Centerbrook, died Wednesday at Gladeview Health Care Center in Old Saybrook. She was 91.
She was born in Deer Isle, Maine.
She leaves three daughters, Eunice Tolx of Old Saybrook, Cecilia Fickett of Middlefield and Colleen Traynor of Cross Junction, Va.; five sons, Milton LaPlace of Clinton, Richard LaPlace of Victorville, Calif., David LaPlace of Gardner, Maine, George LaPlace of Middlefield and Robert LaPlace of Old Saybrook; a sister, Doris Hardy of Deer Isle, Maine; 28 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be Friday at 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 10 Prospect St., Essex. Burial will be in Joshuatown Cemetery, Old Lyme. There are no calling hours. Donations may be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, Susan Origlia, Treasurer, 10 Prospect St., Essex, CT 06426.
