- Harold L. Havens, age 81 of Bath, NY, passed away unexpectedly on September 12, 2011 at his home. He was born on September 8, 1930.
Harold was a Bath resident for 81 years. He owned and operated his excavating business for 50 years.
Maintaining his equipment and property was his pride and joy. His strong work ethic was evident in all that he did and was passed on to his family.
He first married Delores Arlene Jackson (deceased) and together they are survived by their children: Vaughn L. Havens (Bath), Terry L. Wheeler (Michael) of Bath, and James L. Havens (Bath).
In 1984 Harold was remarried to Alice R. Bohrman (deceased) and is survived by his step-children; Karen R. Swift (Cameron), Uleta A. Swift (James Hand) of Massachusetts, and Richard G. Swift (Avoca).
He is also survived by his brothers; Allen Havens (Gail) of Bath and Gene Havens (Canandaigua). He has numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Harold was predeceased by his daughter Deborah Stark, son-in-law James Stark, step son S.D. Swift and brother Maurice Havens (Ann).
At Harold?s request, there will be no calling hours or service. Donations in Harold?s memory can be made to the American Cancer Society or Heart Association.
