Mary Marie (Roden) Osterdock was born on June 2, 1923 in Valliant, McCurtain County, Oklahoma.
She was the daughter of Fred Roden and Mary Francis (Banning) Roden and had lived most of her life in the Valliant, OK area.
Marie married George "Bud" Osterdock in Arkansas in 1950.
Her brothers were: James, Lester and Harold Roden and her sisters were: Billy (Roden) Segrest and Lois (Roden) Goodson.
She enjoyed her dogs, liked being outside with nature and spending time with family and friends.
Marie was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one sister, Billy (Roden) Segrist and two brothers, James and Lester Roden.
She was survived by; one son, Garland Osterdock and wife Zoronia and their 3 children, Tasha Bell, Alana Moore all of Louisiana and Tammy Myers of Rio Rancho, New Mexico; one daughter, Deborah Monk of Idabel, OK; 4 great grandchildren, A. J. Bell, Simon Bell, Jakob Myers-Heldt and Taylor Moore; one brother, Harold Roden and wife Wanda of Poteau, OK; one sister, Lois Goodson and husband, Clifford "Dude" of Oklahoma City, OK, nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends.

Mrs. Mary Frances Roden, 71, Valliant, died at 5:45 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15, in the McCuistion Hospital in Paris, Tex.
Born July 19, 1897, in Arkansas, she had been a resident of the Valliant area for 50 years moving from Swink. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include one son, Harold of Ft. Smith, Ark.; one stepson, Lester H. of Valliant; three daughters, Mrs. Willie F. Segrest of Homestead, Ore., Mrs. Marie Osterdock of Valliant and Mrs. Lois Goodson of Midwest City; one brother, Alvin Thomas Banning of Burkburnett, Tex.; one sister, Mrs. Ida McCafferty of Burkburnett; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, in the Valliant Assembly of God church, with the Rev. Paul Medded officiating.
Arrangements and burial in the Valliant cemetery were under the direction of Norwood-Welch Funeral Home.
