    Dorothy J. Leabo, age 86, of Malone, NY., passed away early Thursday morning, April 20, 2017, at the Cleveland Clinic Hospital, in Weston, FL., with her loving family by her side.
    Born in Rome, NY., on July 30, 1930, she was the daughter of the late George and Viola Banning Trego. She was a 1948 graduate of Forest Port New York High School.
    On December 30, 1953, she was united in marriage to Kenneth Leabo, Sr. He predeceased her in March of 1983.
    Dorothy was employed as a teachers aide at St. Joseph?s Academy, in Malone. She was also a cook and housekeeper for the clergy at St. John Bosco Church, in Malone. She later worked for Com-Links and the Co-operative Extension in Malone. She retired several years ago. She enjoyed playing bingo, going to the casino, and was an avid New York Yankee fan.
    Survivors include two sons and a daughter in law, Frederick and Hilda Leabo of Malone, NY., and Mark Leabo of Erie, IL., and by four daughters, Rhonda DeBruhl of Davie, FL., Brenda Leabo of Malone, NY., Pamela Leabo of Schenectady, NY., and Angela Leabo of Malone, NY. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
    Besides her parents and husband she was predeceased by two sons, Raymond Leabo in 1983 and Kenneth Leabo, Jr., in 2011, and by a grandson, Nicholas Leabo in 2012.
    Calling hours will be on Thursday from 2-4 p.m. at the Bruso-Desnoyers Funeral Home, in Malone. A funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with the Rev. Billy Bond officiating. Burial will take place in the Fairchild Cemetery in Remsen, NY., on Friday at 12 p.m.
    Donations may be made in her memory to the Disabled American Veterans.
    Arrangements are through the Bruso-Desnoyers Funeral Service Inc. of Malone, NY.

    Mrs. Viola G. Worden, 62, of River street, wife of Fred Worden, died Friday in Roswell Park Memorial hospital, Buffalo, after a lengthy illness. She had been a patient in the hospital seven weeks.
    The funeral will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the Trainor funeral home, Boonville, with Rev. Irving F. Beal, pastor of Forestport Presbyterian church, officiating. Burial will be in Fairchild cemetery, Remsen.
    Surviving besides her husband are a daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Dorothy)Leabo, Malone; four step-daughters, Mrs. Douglas (Frances) La Rocque,Clark Mills, Mrs. Henry (Myra) Szyikowski, Boonville, Mrs. Doyle (Ruth)Jones, Lakewood, Calif., Mrs. Martin (Catherine) Mooney, Boonville; two stepsons, Clarence F. Worden, Holland Patent and Harold Worden, Utica; three brothers, Orin Banning, Fitchville, Conn., Raymond Banning, Massachusetts and Louis Banning, Norwichtown, Con.; two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Duffy, Hampton, Conn., and Mrs. Dorothy Hildebrand, Norwichtown, Conn., and several grandchildren.
    She was born July 30, 1906 in Groton, Conn., a daughter of Orin and Martha Champlin Banning. She lived in Forestport 37 years. She was married to Mr. Worden Sept. 29, 1937 in Barneveld. She was a member of the Forestport Presbyterian church and Riverside Rebekah lodge of which she was a past grand. She was also its past district deputy.
