    He was predeceased by : his parents, Harold Choate and Myrtle Choate (Joyes); and his grandson Brendan Gillis. He is survived by : his spouse Dona; his children, Sheri Baker (David), Sarah Gillis (Jeff) and Dan Choate; his step-children, Colleen Armstrong (Keith), Karen Fullerton (John), Christine Campbell (Jamie) and Barbara-Anne Elstone (Reid); and his siblings, Dianne Choate and Marilyn Yeo (Ross). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 8 great grand-children.

    CHOATE, H. David Of Peterborough, aged 76 years, passed away suddenly at his residence on Friday October 12, 2018. Beloved husband and partner of Dona for 36 years. Father of Sheri (David) Baker, Sarah (Jeff) Gillis, and son Dan Choate. Step-father to Colleen (Keith) Armstrong, Karen (John) Fullerton, Christine (Jamie) Campbell, and Barbara-Anne (Reid) Elstone. He is survived by 9 grandchildren and 8 great grand-children. Brother of Dianne Choate, and Marilyn (Ross) Yeo. David is predeceased by his parents Harold and Myrtle (Joyes) Choate, and his grandson Brendan Gillis. As a millwright and motorcycle mechanic, David could repair, fix or make almost anything he put his mind to, but he was best known for his love of motorcycles, boats, and cooking. Following David's wishes, his body has been gifted to science at Queen's University, there will be no service at this time. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Riverview Manor Residents Council (Peterborough) or the charity of your choice,
