Dawn was born in Kalamazoo on November 24, 1954, the daughter of Duane and Beverly (Kelly) Burnham. She co-owned Acme Bedding with Michael. They were both members of the Corvette Club of Kalamazoo. Her father, Duane, preceded Dawn in death in 1993. Dawn's mother, Beverly Burnham, survives. Surviving both Michael and Dawn are 2 children, Brandie and Jeremy Gouley of Kalamazoo, and James and Shelby Benedict of Delton; 5 grandchildren; brother, Duane (Margie) Burnham of Portage; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Friday from 4-8 p.m. at PARCHMENT-REDMOND Funeral Home 300 East G Avenue 349-7735. A second visitation will be held Saturday, February 19, 2005 at the Fetzer Center, WMU, from 10-11:00 a.m. for family only and for the public from 11:00 a.m. until noon, where Funeral Services will be held at 12 noon. Died, at her home in Mentor, Ohio, Sept. 2nd, 1901, Mary C. Wardner, at the advanced age of 73 years. She had been in feeble health for a number of years. Heart trouble caused her death. Mary Gates was born in Webster, N.Y. Oct. 14, 1827, and was married Oct. 19, 1844 to James C. Cook. Unto them six children were born, two of whom survive, L.L. Cook of Mentor, Ohio and Lucy L. Slater of this village. Mr. Cook died during the Civil War.
She was afterward married to Silas Wardner, Sept. 22, 1867, who still survives her.
The funeral was held at the home of her son, L.L. Cook, Wednesday afternoon, Sept. 4, 1901, Rev. Mr. Douglas, officiating. She was laid at rest by the side of her son, Charles, in Mentor.

DILLON, Owen On Thursday, November 28, 2002 Owen Dillon "Poo" passed away peacefully at home, in his sleep after a lengthy illness. He is survived by his loving wife Beverley Dillon (nee Bowman). Loving father of Dawn, Christopher, Richard, Owen Jr., Simeon, Oral, Layton, Andrew and Aaron; and stepchildren Trevor, Tracy and Tanya. Also survived by his four sisters, four brothers and many grandchildren. Celie died peacefully, at North Bay Regional Health Centre, on Sunday, March 12, 2023. She was in her 90th year. Celie was predeceased by her husbands Clifford Landon (1928-1959) and Berton Dobbs (1934-2011), her son Stephen Landon (1950-2013) (Debra Cousineau of Deep River) and her daughter Heather Beatty (1953-2020) (the late Robert "Bob"). She was the much-loved mother of Jim Landon (Kathy) of Callander and Brad Dobbs (Barb) of North Bay; grandmother of ten, great-grandmother of 14 and great- great-grandmother of three. Celie was predeceased by her parents Stella (Clapperton) and Walter Rogerson. She was the dear sister of Genevieve Brunne (the late Don) of North Bay, Karma Lepple (Bob) of Astorville and Carol Brooks (the late Ron) of Port Loring. She was predeceased by her sister Pat Whitehead and brothers Barry Rogerson (the late Bonnie) and Loyal Rogerson (Lori-Ann of Loring). She will be lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Celie retired from Canada Post where she served as Post Master in Callander for many years. Donald Merritt Baker, born July 22, 1924, to Merritt and Elenor (Bradley) Baker, died Monday, Dec. 8, 2008, at Elizabethtown Community Hospital.
He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving from August 1943 to March 1946. He served as postmaster at the Moriah Post Office for more than 35 years. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5802, the Moriah Fire Department, and he served as fire commissioner.
He married Katherine E. Pepper on May 20, 1944.
He is survived by his wife, Katherine; a daughter, Bonnie, son-in-law, Frank Pinda; and granddaughter, Megan Pinda.
Calling hours will be held Thursday, Dec. 11, 2008, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Harland Funeral Home in Port Henry. Donald Paul Pennock, 49, Walcott, Iowa, died Friday, Feb. 23, 1996, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.
Memorial services are 1 p.m. Monday at Runge Mortuary, Davenport.
There is no visitation. A memorial fund has been established.
Mr. Pennock was born July 26, 1946, in Davenport, the son of Kenneth and Irene Burner Pennock.
He was employed as a forklift operator at Titan Wheel in Walcott.
He was a member of the Machinists and Aerospace workers union.
He enjoyed gardening and sports and was an avid Chicago Bears fan.
Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Laurie and Capt. Donald Phillip Yale, 71, of New Britain, loving husband of Beverly J. (Embry) Yale, died April 26, 2009 at home.
Born in Middletown, the son of the late Robert L. Yale Sr. and the late Catherine (Cunningham) Yale, he attended Berlin High School and was employed at The Hospital for Special Care for 32 years before his retirement. He was a member of Berlin Congregational Church, and was an avid Yankees fan.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert L. Yale Jr. and his wife Marjorie of Northboro, Mass. and Richard and Mary Ann Yale of Berlin; a sister and brother-in-law, Eleanor and Gilbert Austin of Rockville, Md. and many nieces and nephews.
Services were held May 1, 2009 at Berlin Congregational Church. Burial was in Middlefield Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Connecticut Chapter of the American Parkinson Disease Association, 27 Allendale Drive, North Haven, Connecticut 06437.
