STANLEY PENNOCK , 67, of rural Pittsfield died at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday (March 12, 1980) in his home. Mr. Pennock was born Feb. 20, 1913, in Pike County, a son of John Arthur and Mabel Belle Helm Pennock. Surviving are a son, John Pennock of rural Pittsfield; two daughters, Mrs. Nancy Bryant of Ashland and Mrs. Barbara Hart of San Diego; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Freeman and Mrs. Rosa Daniels, both of Pittsfield and Mrs. Dorothy Meece of Springfield,, and 10 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother and a granddaughter. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Skinner Funeral Home in Griggsville, conducted by the Rev. Joe Maynard. Stanley W. (Buster) Bisgrove, husband of Betty Ridley Bisgrove, 76 Seymour Street, died on Monday, April 27, 1987 at Auburn Memorial Hospital following a three week illness.
Buster was born in Owasco, the son of Egbert and Edith Shepherd Bisgrove. An automobile mechanic, he was associated with several local auto agencies, retiring in 1980 from the former Piermonte Chevrolet. During the period since retirement, he had served as assistant foreman of maintenance Fort Hill Cemetery.
Buster was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church where he served as an usher and head usher for years. He was a charter member of the Mens Club of the Church, Masonic Lodge 124 F.& A.M., the Scipio Fire Department Social Members Club.
Surviving also are a daughter, Ms. Eilene Bisgrove, Chapel Hill, North Carolina; a son, Gary W. Bisgrove and daughter in-law, Hilda, Auburn; a beloved granddaughter, Becki Bisgrove, Aurora; two sisters, Mrs. Joseph (Lillian) Laida, Skaneateles, Mrs. Harold (Dorothy) Purinton, Cortland; several nieces, nephews.
Funeral services will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 29, 1987 at The Farrell Funeral Home, 84 South Street. Rev. Lynn Spence officiating. Interment will be in Fort Hill Cemetery.
There are no calling hours.
The omission of flowers is requested. Those so desiring may contribute to the Memorial Fund of Trinity United Methodist Church or the Scipio Fire Department in memory of Buster.

STAR LAKE ? Beatrice R. Bebee, age 92, of Star Lake, passed away on March 25, 2020 at the Clifton-Fine Hospital.
Beatrice was born on September 11, 1927 in Chateaugay, NY to the late Frank and Dorothy (Files) Dashnaw. She was the widow of Truman Bebee who passed away in 1991.
Mrs. Bebee enjoyed playing Bingo, watching reruns on television and loved her jewelry. She also loved visiting with her fellow residents and friends, and used to walk to the Newton Falls Paper Mill just to visit with people over coffee.

STEINKAMP Robert August Steinkamp passed away January 1, 2006. He was a long time resident of Jacksonville. He earned his engineering degree from Norwich University in Vermont and his MBA from the University of Hartford in Connecticut. He is survived by his sons Robert Steinkamp of Ithaca, NY and Roger Steinkamp of Portland, Maine. Stephen A. Varni, Sr., 85, of East Hartford, beloved husband of the late Avis (Cavagnaro) Varni, passed away Tuesday, (December 20, 2005) at Manchester Memorial Hospital after a period of declining health.
Prior to his retirement, Mr. Varni had been employed by the East Hartford School System.
Mr. Varni is survived by his son, Stephen A. Varni, Jr., and his wife, Darlene of Stafford Springs; and by his daughter, Debra Matthews and her husband, Stephen of East Hartford. He also leaves his two grandsons, Stephen Matthews and his wife, Erin and Christopher Matthews; and his great granddaughter, Morgan Matthews, all of East Hartford. He also leaves his brother, Robert Varni and his wife, Betty and his two sisters, Gladys and Joyce all of South Glastonbury. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Marion Cordier and her husband, Leo and his good friend, Donald "Buzz" Brozowsky and his wife, Vicky all of East Hartford, and several nephews and nieces.

Stephen J. Hughes, 57, of Baltimore, Md., died along with his with sons-in-law Gregory J. Brooks and Andrew J. Pain on June 4, 2012, in a car accident near Oxford, England.
Born September 28, 1954, in Baltimore, Steve was the son of Joseph F. Hughes of Catonsville, Md., and the late Lillian M. Hughes. He was previously married to Angela Atkins, with whom he had three children, until their divorce in 1992.
Steve graduated from the Cardinal Gibbons High School in 1972, from UMBC with a degree in Economics in 1976, and from the University of Maryland School of Law in 1983. He worked as an Economist for the US Department of Labor until 1985 and then as an associate lawyer and then partner at Miles & Stockbridge in Baltimore. In 1993, he helped to form the law firm Treanor, Pope, and Hughes, currently in Towson, Md., where he was a well-renowned attorney representing people injured by medical negligence.
Steve was a Master Mason and the 2012 Junior Warden of the Maryland Palestine Lodge No.189 AF&AM in Catonsville, a former President of the Maryland Society for Justice, and a frequent speaker at legal seminars. He was a voracious reader, a critical thinker, as well as a masterful storyteller and humorist who enjoyed poker, golf, and attending Ravens' games. He also sang in a Beatles tribute band for 15 years. He was devoted to his children and grandchildren and gave freely of his time, support, and legal skills to family, friends, and those in need.
Surviving him, in addition to his father, are loving daughters Angela Hughes Brooks of Catonsville and Sarah Emily Pain of London, England; son, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren Andrew S. and Erika E. Hughes and their children Aidan, Casper, and Lillian Hughes, all of Catonsville; brother P. Michael Hughes of Westminster, Md.; brothers and sisters-in-law J. Barry and Teresa S. Hughes of Westminster, T. Kevin and Barbara R. Hughes of Eldersburg, Md., and Brian L. and Linda W. Hughes of Cary, N.C.; and sisters and brothers-in-law Kathleen M. and William R. Heilman of Westminster; Lillian H. and George H. Knipp of Catonsville, and Maureen A. and Mark D. Shields of Newark, Del.; as well as many loving nieces, nephews, and close friends.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm on Thursday, August 16, at Ruck Funeral Home, 1050 York Rd., Towson, Md. Interment will be private.
A Masonic Memorial Service will be performed by his Lodge at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, August 17, at the Grand Masonic Lodge, 304 International Circle, Cockeysville, Md., followed by a Celebration of Life with recollections by family, friends, and colleagues.

Sterling - Royden K. Lewis, 84, died peacefully at home on Monday, October 28, 2019. He was born in Worcester, son of Marshall and Eva (Gates) Lewis, and had lived in Sterling for 56 years.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Elin (Melhuish) Lewis; his son, Royden Lewis Jr. of Denmark, ME; his daughters, Wendy Rigby and her husband, Bradford of Chelmsford and Dianne Lewis and her husband, Harold Smith of Denmark, ME; his brothers, Richard Lewis and Robert Lewis; grandchildren, Seth Rigby, Amanda Ward and Kyle Lewis; 2 great grandchildren, Declan and Ainslee; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved older brother Bill in June of this year.
Royden grew up in Auburn and attended Auburn schools. He served in the Army National Guard and went on to work as an Assistant Manager for Stop and Shop retiring in 1985. Royden's passions in life included his family and the outdoors. He helped start the Sterling Youth Soccer League and enjoyed coaching for several years. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and hiker and had been a member of the Canal Sportsmen's Club in Bourne. The camping and hiking trips Royden took with his family created wonderful memories that his family will cherish for years to come.

Sterling A. Dunbar
Age 82 of Elkton, MD, died January 22, 2006, in Elkton.
Mr. Dunbar had been an electrical engineer at Aberdeen Proving Ground in Aberdeen, MD. He was a member of Elkton United Methodist Church in Elkton, and enjoyed model electric trains, reading, and watching sports on TV.
Sterling's wife, Constance Willis Dunbar, died in August 2005. Survivors include son, Steven Ayerst Dunbar; and daughter, Amy Ruth Dunbar, both of Elkton.
The family will receive friends after 2 pm on Thursday, January 26, 2006, at Elkton United Methodist Church, Main St., Elkton, where the funeral service will begin at 3 pm. Interment will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the Alzheimer's Association, c/o GEE FUNERAL HOME, 259 E. Main St., Elkton, MD 21921.
