- Ruth Munro of Swan River, Manitoba formally of Nipawin, Saskatchewan passed away peacefully at the Swan Valley Hospital on September 22, 2021 with her daughter?s at her side.
Born May 25, 1923 in Germany. She moved with her parents to Nipawin, Saskatchewan when she was 6 years old. In November 1943 she married Clarence Munro and they settled on the farm at Melfort, Saskatchewan.
In 1956 they purchased a small grocery store and mom ran the store in Melfort, Saskatchewan for the next 16 years. They then sold the store and moved to Nipawin, Saskatchewan to be closer to dad?s farmland.
They enjoyed many winters in Texas and Arizona USA.
Ruth is survived by her loving daughters Sharon (Ken) Peters of Birch River, Manitoba, Elaine (Brian) King of The Pas, Manitoba. Grandchildren Curt (Claudia Sbrissa) Peters of New York USA, Jennifer (Gabe) Ostyn of Twin Falls, Idaho USA, Thel and Rory Ostyn of Twin Falls, Idaho USA, Jill King of The Pas, Manitoba, Brendan (Burgandy) King of The Pas, Manitoba, Jackson and Kayla King.
She is also survived by brother-in-law Jim Munro, sister?s-in-law Wilma Munro and Ester Becker and many nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by husband D. Clarence Munro and daughter and son-in-law Elsie and Gabe Tschabuschnig as well as her parents Pauline and Samuel Schielke, brothers Herman, Bill and Arthur, and sisters Alvina, Minna and Lydia.
In 1943 Ruth chose to put her trust in God and his will; this choice guided her life. She has lived and loved what she believed, and her spirit of peace has always reached out to others.
A funeral service was held on Thursday September 30, 2021 at Mabel Hill Memorial Cemetery, Nipawin, Saskatchewan.

In keeping with Ruth's wishes a private family service will be held in Nipawin, Saskatchewan Thursday September 30,2021.
