- Dorothy Pennock, 93, of Ames, died Monday, Nov. 6, at Bickford Cottage in Ames. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 14, at Helser Chapel, Collegiate Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Ames Municipal Cemetery.
Dorothy Pennock was born Oct. 17, 1913, in Kewanee, Ill., to Frank and Carrie A. (Nobiling) Ladd. She married Paul Pennock Sept. 14, 1935, in Davenport. She had been an Ames resident since 1995, having previously resided in Davenport for 28 years and Racine, Wis., for 32 years.
She was a homemaker and member of Collegiate Presbyterian Church, PEO Chapter HO and American Sewing Guild.
Survivors include one daughter, Carolyn (Gordon) Bultena, of Ames; one son, Paul R. (Mary) Pennock, of Greenwood Village, Colo.; and four grandchildren, Laurie Henry, of Nevada, Steve Bultena, of Cannon Falls, Minn., Kevin Bultena, of Webster City, and Paige Rader, of Denver, Colo.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul in 2000; one brother; and one sister.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Collegiate Presbyterian Church.
Adams Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
