- Barbara Langa, 64, of Wallingford, wife of the late George Langa, died on Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2007 after a long illness.
Born in Meriden on Dec. 3, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Edith ( Miner) Carroll. Mrs. Langa was employed by Nu Stars of Wallingford for many years and at the Railroad Stores Corporate Office of Meriden for 10 years.
She is survived by her two daughters, Karen Dowd of Wallingford and Kathryn Visser and her husband, Pieter of New Hartford; a son, Thomas Langa and his wife, Justine of Wallingford; 10 grandchildren, Jimmy and Christopher Dowd of Wallingford, Pieter and Brian Visser of New Hartford, Danielle, Kaytlyn, Jessica and Jacob Langa of Wallingford and Joseph and Michael Dudley of Wallingford; two sisters, Alice Mankoski and her husband, Paul of Meriden, Maryann Parmalee and her husband, David of Berlin; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Richard Carroll.
The funeral will be held on Saturday, Nov. 24 at 10:30 a.m. from the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main St., Meriden, and at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Church for a Mass of Christian burial. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Friends may call prior to the Mass from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
