Bob Parker passed away on January 6, 2008 at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Battle Creek, Michigan, at the age of 77. Born in Brockville, Ontario, Bob grew up in Cleveland, Ohio and eventually settled in Ann Arbor and Kalamazoo, Michigan. Passionate about reading, music, science and math, Bob was a pioneer in the field of computer software technology and retired from General Motors. His devoted family includes his wife, Flora; children, Amy Parker (Karl Murphy), Jay Parker (Ysabel Parker); children's mother, Helen Parker; grandson, Alexander Parker, Johanna Albequerque, Giselle Butler; step-children, Bill Yaroch, Dr. Joe Yaroch, Rose Yaroch, and Anne and Dennis Smith; step-grandchildren, Kevin Yaroch and Theo Smith. In accordance with his wishes, Bob has been bequeathed to the University of Michigan Medical School for Anatomical research. There will be no other services. Memorial donations may be sent to the Packard Community Clinic in Ann Arbor or the University of Michigan Musical Society. Arrangements made by the REDMOND Funeral Home
