    • John Ferrell, Spokane
      Memorial service for John L. ?Jack? Ferrell, 69, will be at 9:30 a.m. today at Heritage Funeral Home.
      Mr. Ferrell, who was born in Spokane, died Wednesday.
      He graduated from North Central High School and, in September 1944, entered the Army.
      He served until June 1965 and received the Army Commendation Medal.
      He had lived in Seattle, Tacoma and Pasco and had returned to Spokane in 1971. He worked part time for H&R Block as a consultant.
      He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 1474 and American Legion Post Falls Post No. 143.
      He is survived by his wife, Wilma Ferrell; three sons, John, Berry and James Ferrell, all of Spokane; three daughters, Jacqueline Fluery, Joan Porter and Dyanne Reed, all of Spokane; two sisters, Thelma Cox and Betty DeVito, both of Spokane; nine grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
