Violet R. Benedict, 75, of Port Henry, N.Y., died Monday, July 21, 2008, at Ten Broeck Commons, Lake Katrine, N.Y.
She was born June 13, 1933, in Port Henry, N.Y., to the late Beatrice (Baker) and Dawn Metcalf Gregory.
Violet was a technical painter for Simmonds Precision, Vergennes, Vt., before retiring in 1993.
She is survived by her brother James and his wife, Sandra Gregory, Hurley, N.Y.; nephew, James Jr. and wife, Laura Gregory, Franklin, N.Y., niece, Jennifer and husband, William Hinsdale, Tillson, N.Y., nephew Curt and his wife, Darla Gregory, Port Henry, N.Y., nephew Todd and his wife, Chastity Gregory, Port Henry, N.Y., niece, Michelle and her husband, Dan Diehl, Port Henry, N.Y.; sister-in-law, Maybelle Gregory, Port Henry, N.Y.; several great-nieces and nephews; several cousins.
She was predeceased by her brother, Dawn Baker Gregory.
Burial will take place in the Town of Moriah Cemetery, at the discretion of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Town of Moriah Ambulance Squad, Moriah, NY 12960. |
