    • Kenneth A. Slade passed away peacefully on January 18, 2012 at Ty Watson House in Port Alberni. Ken is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Lynda. He is also survived by his children: Mieka (André), Michael (Kristin) and two wonderful grandchildren: Amelia and Lucas as well his brother Bernard (Nancy) and sisters Barbara and Carol, all from Ontario.
      Ken was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 293, where he was a member of the Executive Committee. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Cremation has already taken place.
