  • Notes
    • McNEILL, Patrick Joseph On April 3, 2007, Patrick Joseph McNeill of Edmonton passed away at the age of 74 years at home surrounded by his family. Pat is survived by his loving wife of 53 years Joan; five children, Greg (Connie), Marlene (Dale) Amundson, Bernie (Pam), Jody (Susan), and Tammy (John) Kupilik; grandchildren, Cameron, Kirsten, Alexis, Dean, Darin, Jeff, Megan, David, Mark, Ashley, Trisha, Scott, Nicole, Taylor, Austin, Jaelyn; great-grandchildren, Cooper, Keenan and Allison. He also leaves numerous nieces, nephews; other relatives, friends and little Maggie. Born in Brandon, Manitoba in 1933, Pat moved his family to Victoria, B.C. in the mid 1950's after he joined the PPCLI. In 1963, the family moved to Edmonton where Pat worked in several different occupations until deciding to become a Journeyman Plumber. Pat was interested in all kinds of sports especially Hockey where he excelled as a youth and later passed his knowledge and skills on to his sons and daughters and other young people he coached over several years in the Knights of Columbus Hockey organization. Most recently Pat was an avid fan of the game, watching his grandchildren develop their skills in a game he loved so much. We know that Pat will be playing on the hockey team coached by the Lord and he'll be at peace where he plays now, forever. Prayers will be held at 8:00 p.m., on Friday, April 6th at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 7508-29 Avenue, Edmonton. A Funeral Liturgy will be held at 3:30 p.m., on Saturday, April 7th at the Connelly-McKinley Sherwood - Millwoods Funeral Home, 4820 Meridian Street, Edmonton, (Must be heading South on Hwy 14, the access is 1 Km south of the Sherwood Park Fwy, on the west side of Hwy 14). We would like to express thanks to the following people for their help and compassion they demonstrated through-out Pat's illness; Dr. P Grewal, Cindi at WCB, the nurses at Bayshore Home Health and the medical staff at the Grey Nuns Hospital. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the CNIB, 12010 - Jasper Avenue, Edmonton Alberta. Connelly-McKinley Sherwood Park - Millwoods Funeral Home.
