 | Don Rintoul Donald Graham Rintoul, age 80, of Stratford, passed away peacefully at the Stratford General Hospital on December 28, 2024. Born in Wingham on January 8, 1944, son of the late Gibson and Fern Rintoul.
Predeceased by his beloved wife Linda (Ross) September 21, 2022. Loving father to Dean and Melissa Rintoul, and Scott-deceased (Lysandra). Grandfather to Hayleigh (Simon), Declan and Marta; Reagyn and Reyna. Great-grandfather to Margot and Aiden. Brother to Ed Rintoul (Frances). Brother-in-law to Pat Sipkes, Betty and Tom Christie, Don and Nancy Ross and Bonnie Ross.
Predeceased by brother James Rintoul, Gordon Rintoul and brothers-in-law Jack Ross and Pete Sipkes, sisters-in-law Jan, JoAnne and Diane Rintoul.
Don worked for a short time at Blackstone but the job he truly loved was as supervisor at Square D in Stratford until their closure. Following that he had roles at other manufacturers in Stratford until his retirement in 2008.
Don's family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff at Spruce Lodge for their unwavering compassion and care for Don over the last year and a half. We are so grateful to all of you and the residents that also welcomed him. We were blessed to have you and found comfort in knowing he was always well cared for.
Visitation for family and friends will take place at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 from 6-8 p.m. and on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. Interment at Avondale Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Spruce Lodge Foundation. |
