    Suddenly in hospital on September 13, 1997, Douglas Albert Baker, aged 74 years. Devoted and loving husband of Evelyn. Beloved father and stepfather of Yvonne (Edward Wagorn), Christine (Darren Gardner), Ken (Susan), Barb Higgins (Barry) and Debby Higgins (Paul). Caring grandfather and great-grandfather. Faithfully served in the R.A.F., England as a wireless operator and rear gunner, 1941-1946. He received the following medals of distinction: Aircrew Europe France and Germany Star, Defence Medal and 1939/45 Star.

    Friends may call at the Kelly Funeral Home, 1255 Walkley Road (east of Bank) from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday. Funeral service Tuesday in the chapel followed by cremation.
