    Latham (Lay) N. Fitch, 86, of DeLand, FL, most previously from Kissimmee, FL, passed away Wednesday January 9, 2008. Latham was born in New York City in 1921 to Rev. Elmer B. and Ione Reynolds Fitch. He attended Nyack Missionary Training Institute, Nyack, NY (now Nyack College) in 1939-1942 and was enrolled in Houghton College, Houghton, NY when he enlisted into the army in 1942. He attained rank of Master Sgt. and was stationed at Schofield Barracks in Hawaii. He graduated from Geneva College, Beaver Falls, PA in 1947 and received his masters from the University of Pittsburgh. He married Frances Pearl Hughes, his wife of 60 years, in 1947. He was in public education for 30 years beginning his teaching career at South Heights, PA, then teaching at the Lutheran Children's Home in Zelienople, PA. He was then the principal at Connoquenessing Valley Elementary School for 20 years in Zelienople, PA. In 1981 he and his wife moved to Orlando, FL where they lived for 14 years. The last 12 years they lived at the Good Samaritan Village in Kissimmee, FL. Latham was involved with lay preaching and music his entire adult life. Latham is survived by his wife, Frances Hughes Fitch of DeLand, FL; one son, R. Neal Fitch (and wife Janet Fitch) of Tallahassee, Fl., two grandchildren, Michael N. Fitch of Tallahassee, FL, and Laura A. Gatlin (and husband Artie) of Deltona, FL. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Rev. Elmer Fitch and Reginald Fitch.

    Latham married Frances Pearl Hughes in 1947. Frances was born on 6 Jun 1919 in Ambridge, Pennsylvania, USA; died on 2 Mar 2011 in DeLand, Florida, USA; was buried in Osceola Memory Gardens, Kissimmee, Osceola County, Florida, United States. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

    Leroy Fitch Hubbard passed away Saturday, March 16, 2013, at the Arlington Nursing Home in Long Grove. He was born May 2, 1929, the son of the late Herschel and Hazel Hubbard of Downers Grove.
    A graduate of Downers Grove High School and James Millikin University, he served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean conflict.
    He is survived by son Kevin Hubbard of Lombard and daughter April Mrozek (Mike) of Lombard as well as grandchildren Jerico Hubbard and Samantha and Angela Mrozek. Surviving siblings are sisters Florence (Joseph) Babos of Fox River Grove, Helen (Jack) Martin of Arlington Heights, and Sharon (late Jerry) Tannenbaum of Plainfield and brothers William (Kaye) Hubbard of Aurora and Raymond (Rose) Hubbard of Ferryville, Wisconsin. He leaves thirteen nieces and nephews and twenty grandnieces and grandnephews, and is mourned by dear friends Michelle McDonough (William) of Bloomingdale; and Karina Ottolino (Rocco) of Hanover Park.
    Plans for a private memorial service are pending.

    Nancy Elizabeth Ferguson was born on June 5, 1930 in Riverhead, NY to the late Walter H. and Dorothy (Raynor) Sanford. She passed away August 15, 2013 in Bay City, MI. She married Robert J. Ferguson, M.D. on April 25, 1959 in Ann Arbor, MI. He predeceased her on September 6, 1996. She is survived by her children, Colin R. Ferguson and friend Stephen Winn, Dr. Heather (Steven Connell) Ferguson, Colonel Robyn (Lt. Colonel Kevin) Wolfla, and Dr. Cristin (Victor) Hannak; her grandchildren, Francis R. and Laurel E. Wolfla, and Cameron Hannak; and her siblings, Shirley (John) Braun and Bruce (Janet) Sanford and numerous nieces and nephews. Nancy graduated from the University of Cincinnati, College of Nursing. She worked in public health, staff and administrative nursing and as an instructor of Medical-Surgical Nursing at The University of Michigan. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church where she was an Elder and was a member of its Hearts and Hands Knitting Club. Other memberships include: the Bay City Garden Club, Sadie Toeppner Garden Club and Bay County Medical Society Alliance (past president). She delivered Mobile Meals, was a volunteer at the Helen M. Nickless Clinic and served on the board of Crimestoppers. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Westminster Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Matthew W. Schramm will officiate. Private burial will take place at Elm Lawn Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m at Penzien-Steele Funeral Home.
