    Notes:

Linden L. Armstrong, lifelong resident of Camden, NY, peacefully passed away at home surrounded by loving family on Thursday November 14, 2013 at the age of 85.
He was welcomed into Heaven to join his son, Ronald A. Lewis; and infant daughter, Debbie Lou Armstrong.
Lin leaves behind his wife of 65 years, Harriet (Kirby) Armstrong; his sister, Avis Douglas; his grandchildren, Jason Lewis, Neil and Sarrah Lewis, Keith and Crystal Lewis; his very special great grandchildren, Jeremy, Evan, Jillian, Rhyan and Autumn; his daughter-in-law, Betty Ann Lewis; also his sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Mary Lou Bird, Linda Furney, Reata Kirby and Demoin Kirby, Jr.; many special nieces and nephews and their families who have meant so much to him and have helped throughout the years; and so many special friends.
Lin was also predeceased by his brothers and sisters-in-law, Carl and Jennie Armstrong, Burl "Red" and Rita Armstrong, Hugh and Roena Armstrong; brothers-in-law, Walter Douglas, Donald Kirby, Randall Bird, Richard "Dick" Furney; and his sister-in-law, Donna Kirby.
Lindy was born in Camden on December 13, 1927, the son of Edward and Lottie (Hilliker) Armstrong.
When his father passed away at an early age, he began his lifelong endeavor of hard work to help provide for his family. The day Lin turned 16 he began work at General Cable in Rome, NY where he would walk three miles just to get his ride to and from work. He went on to work for the Racquet Factory and then at the Rochester Shoe-Tree for seven years which is where he met Harriet. They were married April 24, 1948. Lin continued on to work for Camden Wire for seventeen years, and then Harden Furniture, where he retired after twenty-seven and a half years.
In addition to work, he also raised beef cows and cared for them so much to call each one by name. Lin enjoyed many of life's simple pleasures too from watching his geese and ducks on the pond to his deer feeding in the back lot or crossing the top of the hill.
To Lin though, his family always came first. Lin was a 50+ year member of the Camden United Methodist Church, and was attending the Taberg United Methodist Church as well.
He was a member of the Camden Senior Citizens, Annsville Friendship Lodge, Williamstown Seniors, and the Ricard Grange #993.
Lin was the true meaning of a man: hard work, strong will, deep love, loaded guns.
Family, friends and neighbors are invited to visit at Nunn & Harper Funeral Home, Camden, NY, on Sunday November 17, 2013, from 1:00pm until 4:00pm, with his Funeral Service to begin at 4:00pm. A Memorial Luncheon will follow at the Taberg United Methodist Church.
Interment will be at a later date in Tioga Cemetery Owego, NY next to his son, Ron.
