Husband to Laurie (Saby). Beloved father of Ben (Rachel), Andrea (Doug) Stewart and Spencer (Sharleen). Proud Grandfather of Gavin, Jack, Emma, Chloe, Ellery, Kinsley, Charles and Hannah. Brother of Gwendolyn (Herb) Fowlie, Wayne (Jeanette), Megan (Barry) Newcombe and Judi (Ken) Dawson. Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Son of Gaylord and the late Miriam Hazelwood. He was a great dad and will be missed by all. Though he had many struggles through the years he had a great love for God.
Derek was an owner/operator in the auto glass industry for over 25 years.
A private family service will be held at Roadhouse and Rose Funeral Home, 157 Main St. South in Newmarket, Ontario on Thursday July 28, 2022 at 1:00 pm.

Peacefully at Stedman Hospice, after a long and courageous battle with cancer, Diane Rintoul, beloved wife of Edward Harris Rintoul. Cherished sister of Dan Mandziuk (Karen); loving aunt to Matthew Mandziuk and Kristen Mandziuk, all of St. Catharines. Sister-in-law of Jim and Jan Rintoul, North Carolina; Don and Linda Rintoul, Stratford; Gord and Joanne Rintoul, Kitchener, and their families. Cherished friend of forty years to Terry Van Wyck (late Brian) and their children Brent and Lindsay. Special friend to Susan Burnham, Phoenix, Arizona. Diane was a long time educator of Geography at BCI; a volunteer and supporter of both the Brantford SPCA and the Wildlife programme; and was an active member of the Ukrainian Catholic Sunflower Seniors' Club. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service, with reception to follow, will be held on January 18, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Sydenham United Church, 120 Sydenham Street, Brantford; visitation for one half hour prior to the service. Richard "Dick" P. Burger, 74, passed away Sunday, September 20, 2020. Born in Tuxedo, NY, he was a son of the late Hans O. and Joyce Elizabeth Walton Burger and was employed by the Monroe Tube Co.
Surviving are brothers, John H. Burger (Nola) of Ridge Spring, SC and Peter Burger (Patty) of Newburgh, NY; sister, Patti Trudgeon of Taylors, SC. He was predeceased by a brother, Thomas Burger.

 | Divers continue search for body Divers continue search for body
BONFIELD (Staff) — Ontario Provincial Police divers have still not found the body of a 34-year-old angler who collapsed and fell overboard from a small boat Wednesday night.
Divers were on Lake Nosbonsing again Friday searching for Calvin Rich, 34, who was fishing with a friend at about 7:50 pm Wednesday when the incident occurred.
Rich’s friend in the boat tried to find the victim for some time after he fell overboard but there was no sign of him in the water, police were told.
The water is 14 to 22 feet deep in the section of the lake where the man fell in, about half a kilometre from shore near Daytonia Lodge.
The two men were fishing in a 14-foot aluminum boat when the mishap occurred.
Police divers and the marine unit were called in from Orillia to search for the missing man.

Don was the beloved husband of Marjorie (Richards); father of Patricia (the late Bill McClelland) (Mack Hughes) of Kitchener, Kevin (Tess) of Mattawa, Larry (Kathy) of Dunnville and Eugene (Janet) of Huntsville. Grandpa will be lovingly remembered by 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Don was the dear brother of Gordon, the late Della (Gerald Clark), Alex (the late Jean) (Annie), Clarence (Gwen), the late Keith (Donna), the late Gary (Audrey) and Isabelle (Wallace Eady). The Hazelwood family will receive visitors at the Mike Rodden Arena, 450 Hurdman Street, Mattawa on Friday, September 7, 2018, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. and on Saturday, September 8 from 12:00 until the time of funeral service at 1:00 pm.  | Don Rintoul Donald Graham Rintoul, age 80, of Stratford, passed away peacefully at the Stratford General Hospital on December 28, 2024. Born in Wingham on January 8, 1944, son of the late Gibson and Fern Rintoul.
Predeceased by his beloved wife Linda (Ross) September 21, 2022. Loving father to Dean and Melissa Rintoul, and Scott-deceased (Lysandra). Grandfather to Hayleigh (Simon), Declan and Marta; Reagyn and Reyna. Great-grandfather to Margot and Aiden. Brother to Ed Rintoul (Frances). Brother-in-law to Pat Sipkes, Betty and Tom Christie, Don and Nancy Ross and Bonnie Ross.
Predeceased by brother James Rintoul, Gordon Rintoul and brothers-in-law Jack Ross and Pete Sipkes, sisters-in-law Jan, JoAnne and Diane Rintoul.
Don worked for a short time at Blackstone but the job he truly loved was as supervisor at Square D in Stratford until their closure. Following that he had roles at other manufacturers in Stratford until his retirement in 2008.
Don's family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff at Spruce Lodge for their unwavering compassion and care for Don over the last year and a half. We are so grateful to all of you and the residents that also welcomed him. We were blessed to have you and found comfort in knowing he was always well cared for.
Visitation for family and friends will take place at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 from 6-8 p.m. and on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. Interment at Avondale Cemetery.  | Don Wolsey Wolsey, Donald Francis "Don" - 89, Coldbrook, Kings Co., died on Sunday, December 6, 2009, in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Douglas, Ontario, he was a son of the late R. Joseph. and H. Mabel (Francis) Wolsey. Don was a veteran of the Second World War, he was a flight engineer and flew Canso Antisubmarine Aircraft between Iceland and England ahead of convoys. He later sold Fuller Brush and Rawleigh products and retired as a Commissionaire at Acadia University, Wolfville. Don wrote two books: "A Canadian Speaks Out" and " A Canadian Speaks Out 2nd. Edition Plus". Surviving are his children, Gerald (Marlene) Wolsey, Berwick; Donna (Brian) Aalders, Waterville; Kevin (Debby) Wolsey, Parrsboro; Karen Wolsey, Coldbrook; Donnie (Irene) Wolsey, Dartmouth; grandchildren, Tammy, Natasha and Jessica; Elysia, Katrina, Brittany and Justin; Lee Ann and Lorraine; Jasmine and Samantha; great-grandchildren, Sara, Kayla, Kendra, Zoe, Cody and Giffin; brother, Ken (Ethel) Wolsey, Sault Ste. Don is sadly missed by his children, Vicki Kapoor (Anil), David Lalonde (Jeong Ae), Donna McColl (Duncan) and Doug Branchflower as well as his grandchildren Adia and Raj Kapoor and Logan, Hunter and Aidan McColl. Don also leaves behind one sister, Cora Gomme, brother Clifford Branchflower (Ruth), and sisters-in-law Lucy Walker and Audrey Hawn and many nieces, nephews and friends. Don was predeceased by his wife Thelma in 1977 as well as numerous beloved siblings and in-laws. Don's quiet humor and inner strength have touched many people. Family and friends wishing to share remembrances are invited to gather on Saturday, May 15 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at City Arts Centre, 10943 - 84 Avenue, Edmonton. Former Oak Harbor resident Donald F. Boddy passed away in Kingman, Ariz., Jan. 25, 2008.
He was born at home in Hunts Point, near Bellevue, Wash. He attended South Kitsap High School and joined the Navy at age 16, after Pearl Harbor, and fought during WWII.
After discharge, he went into the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard apprentice program where he graduated as a pipe-fitter. He also worked in the design department.
He left PSNS and joined the Navy Seabees. He later transferred to the Air Force and served in Vietnam.
He retired from the Air Force and worked for the federal government as a management analyst.
His hobbies included fishing, hunting, black powder and bowling.
He is survived by his wife Lois of Kingman; son Donald F. Boddy Jr., Belfair; daughters Diana Tietz, Camarillo, Calif., and Karen Calhoun, Las Vegas; and sister Joanne Petersen of Oak Harbor. He had four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his father Francis Boddy, mother Ferne Boddy and brothers Dick Boddy and Roger Boddy.
Services are pending in Kingman, Ariz.

 | Donald Hazelwood Donald (Don) James Hazelwood, long-time resident of the Bay Area, has departed to be with the Lord on February 21, 2015. He was born on February 16, 1924, in Oakland, California.
Don was a proud graduate of St. Joseph's High School in Alameda, California in 1941, and of Santa Clara University with a degree in business in 1948. During his college years, Don served in the US Navy during WWII. Following graduation from college, Don worked the majority of his career at Wells Fargo Bank in San Francisco before retiring in 1982.
In retirement, Don loved to lawn bowl and was last a member of the Rossmoor Lawn Bowling Club. He was also an avid baseball fan and collector of baseball memorabilia. He was a member of the Society for American Baseball Research (SABR) and the Pacific Coast League Historical Society, and was a devoted fan of the old Oakland Oaks baseball team and the current Oakland A's.
Don is survived by his wife, Rosary, whom he married 59 years ago in Los Banos, California; son, Scott and his wife, Rachael; brother, Robert and his wife, Barbara; and grandchildren James and David. Don was preceded in death by brother, Jack (survived by wife Jean).
A funeral service will be held at St. Anne's Catholic Church, 1600 Rossmoor Parkway, Walnut Creek, California 94595, on March 14, 2015, at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Don's name to the SJND Hazelwood Science Scholarship, c/o Rebecca Bischoff, Asst. It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Don at home surrounded by his family. He is predeceased by his father Charlie in 2008. Left to mourn are his wife Heather; son Jeffrey; daughter Grace; mother and father-in-law, Bruce and Darlene Corbett; mother Irene; sisters, Shirley and Lorraine Stewart; brother-in-law Bill Corbett and Cyndy; nieces, Vanessa Stewart, Cassie Corbett and Olivia Tabin; nephews, Brock and Brett Corbett, Cameron Stewart and Keegan and Riley Tabin. Don was a fourth generation farmer in Lilyfield and cherished his home, the land and most of all working with his Dad and family. Don had many friends and remained a true gentleman during the most challenging of circumstances. His extraordinary bravery and character will forever be a source of inspiration to all. He was warm, quick witted, a welcoming host, an amazing Dad and husband and everybody's favourite uncle. Nobody was ever in trouble on Uncle Don's watch. He absolutely loved to entertain his family and friends. Don Stewart was special. Many thanks to Dr. John Bracken, Dr. Frank Renouf, Dr. Paul Daeninck and especially Vivian Heller who provided Don and his family with care and compassion beyond expectation for which they will be eternally grateful.  | Donald Stevens DONALD W. STEVENS SR. HUNTINGTON -- Donald W. Stevens Sr., 70, died unexpectedly Sunday, July 23, 2000, in Fletcher Allen Health Care.
He was born in Albany, N.Y., on Oct. 1, 1929, the son of Heman and Gladys [Walton] Stevens.
Aug. 4, 1950, he married Margaret G. Burbo in Huntington.
Donald was employed as a truck driver for the town of South Burlington for more than 20 years. He retired in 1992.
Donald was an avid reader. In earlier years, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of American Legion Post No. 19 of Bristol and the Chittenden County Fish and Game Club.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Margaret "Maggie" Stevens of Huntington; their three children and their spouses, Donna and Ernest Burritt of Richmond, Joyce and Gerald McEntee of Burlington, and Donald Jr. and Kimberly of Enosburg Falls; six grandchildren; two greatgrandchildren; three brothers; three sisters; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; an infant daughter; and two brothers.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 26, 2000, at 11 a.m. in Gifford Funeral Home, 22 Depot St., Richmond. Visiting hours are at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the hour of the service. Burial will take place in Maplewood Cemetery in Huntington. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be sent to the family at P.O. Box 74, Huntington, Vt. 05462.

Donald passed away, in hospital, Perth on Monday, February 15, 2016, surrounded by his loving wife and son. Donald Frederick Wakeling, of Lombardy, at the age of 69.
He was predeceased by his parents Frederick and Irene Wakeling, and by his brother Doug, in 1968.
Cherished husband to Carmel (nee King), and loving father to Darcy, all of Lombardy.
Also left to mourn his loss, is his sister, Doreen (late Bob) Knorr, of Brantford.
Donald will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his dear mother in law, Myrtle McFarlane, as well as his in laws: Erma (Bill) Pretty, Bill King, Steven King and Adelene (Jim) McCord. Donald will be fondly remembered by Lisa Bower and family and Bradley Knorr and his family.
In accordance with Donald?s wishes, cremation has taken place, with a private interment to be held at Guthrie Cemetery, Clayton, in spring 2016.
Friends are invited to visit with and support Don?s family on Friday, February 19th, from 11:00 am until service time in the Chapel at 1:00 pm.

Born at Manola, Alberta, Mr. Walker graduated from the University of Alberta with a degree in Civil Engineering in 1962. Mr. Walker moved to Oxbow, Saskatchewan in 1962 and was employed by Royalite Oil Company. In 1965 he moved to Calgary and worked with Canadian Industrial Gas and Oil, a predecessor of Norcen Energy Resources Limited and was General Manager, Production, at the time of his demise. Mr. Walker was very active in coaching of hockey and lacross in Calgary. He was a member of the Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geophysists of Alberta and was past chairman of the Foothills Petroleum Golf Tournament. She is survived by husband Gordon and four sons Kevin, Nicholas (grandsons Brock, Rhett, Zayde and their mother Chelsey), Nathan (granddaughters Alyssa, Haylee and their mother Jennifer) and Shawn (Alex) and grandsons Weston and Wyatt). Donna is also survived by her mother Mable Deinstadt; brother Elvin and sister Irene; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father Melvin and sister Evelyn. Donna and Gordon were married September 23, 1972. They started their marriage in Calgary. In 1976, they bought their farm just outside of Hodgeville where they started growing their family. The farm is where mom loved to work in her large garden. The family moved to Balgonie in 1991, where Donna lived out the rest of life. Mrs. Dora I. Jecks, 84, of 3224 16th ave., Rock Island, Ill., died Tuesday, Mar. 27, in the Americana Nursing home, Moline.
Born in Crystal Lake on Sept. 4, 1888, she was the daughter of Thomas and Caroline Willard Grantham. She was educated in Crystal Lake and was married to Ellis P. Jecks in 1909. He preceded her in death Oct. 4, 1970.
Mrs. Jecks lived in Cary from 1924-1940. During that time she owned and operated a dairy and was a chief telephone operator. She was a member of the Cary Woman's club and maintained her membership in the Cary United Methodist church through the years. In 1942 she moved to Rock Island.
She was a member and past worthy matron of Algonquin O.E.S. No. 752.
Survivors are two sons, Lyle P. of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Willard T. of Rock Island; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter and a brother.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Friday in Crystal Lake at the Union cemetary. A funeral service took place at 9 a.m. Friday at the Larsen Funeral home, Rock Island.

Mrs. South died at Civic Hospital, North Bay, after a lengthy illness, on Tuesday, August 14, 1991, in her 63rd year.
Doris (Grawbarger), beloved wife of William (Bill) Alfred South, Callander. Loving mother of Donna Maier, Sault Ste. Marie; Robert South (wife June), North Bay; William South (wife Betty), Callander; Kenneth South (wife Lorraine), Sault Ste. Marie; Karen (husband Ifeany Emesowum), London. Dear sister of Art Grawbarger (wife Myrtle), Callander. Loving grandmother of 12 grandchildren.
Predeceased by her brother Bruce and parents Sam and Eliza Grawbarger.
Doris Grawbarger was born in North Bay and grew up on her parent's farm in Nipissing Township. She met Bill South and they were married on December 27, 1944 at Nipissing United Church. Doris worked with Kern's Jewellers from 1964 to 1974 and at Woolworth's from 1974 to 1981. In 1973 Doris and Bill bought land near Hornepayne where they peeled the logs and built a cabin that could only be reached by canoe. Here Doris loved fishing and hunting, just recently shooting a bull moose by herself.
After a long battle with her illness Doris died peacefully in her sleep.
Casket bearers were Gordon and Ronnie Grawbarger, Dennis Johnston, Kevin South, Ifeany Emesowum and Rocco Muratore. Committal Service was held at Powassan Union Cemetery.

She is survived by her children Diane (Michael) Simmons, Shaun (Lynn) O'Neil of Pass Lake, Kevin O'Neil,Colleen (Allan) Snelgrove and Kelly (Brandford) Green; eleven grandchildren: Mark (Rachell) Simmons of Yellowknife, NT, Tracey (Joseph) Schenck of St. Catherines, ON, Tevecca (Paul) Flowers of Edmonton, AB, Shannon and Megan O'Neil of Pass Lake, Courtney and Jesse O'Neil, Stephanie and Kimberlee Snelgrove and Trevor and Kaitlin Green and 4 great grandchildren. Also surviving are stepchildren Pat (Peter) Hnatiw and Fay (Norman) MacIntosh of Sault Ste. Marie and daughter-in-law Brenda O'Neil of Montreal, Quebec as well as numerous other relatives. Predeceased by her parents Harry and Jessie Stokes,first husband Bruce and second Husband Peg in 1978; brothers Bill, Ray and Sam Stokes; sisters Bessie Cliff and Mabel Hamilton; stepchildren Barbara Pappas and Brian O'Neil and son-in-laws John Pappas and Ron Goose. After her children were raised, she trained as a Nurse's Aid and worked at Walter P. Hogarth Hospital for several years and later Red Cross Homemaking. First and foremost was Doris's love for her family. Special occasions that brought the family together meant the world to her. Doris led a full life right up to her passing. She was well known at the nursing homes as 'Giggles' the clown, where she entertained residents with the Elks Klown Band with her dancing and singing. She was also a member of the Interlink Choir, Rebecca Lodge and the Algonquin Regiment Association (North Bay). Mom's love for her family, friends and music kept her going through some very difficult times in her life. We are all grateful for Mom's love for life and music that will live on through her family and forever be remembered in our hearts. HUNTINGTON - Dorotha V. Blish, 71, died in Fletcher Allen Health Care on Sunday, May 1, 2005, after several years of failing health. She was born in Huntington, March 28, 1934, the daughter of Heman Stevens Sr. and Gladys (Walton) Stevens.
She married Douglas Blish in Huntington on Dec. 9, 1950. Dorotha loved playing bingo and was fond of all animals. She was an avid pinochle and cribbage player. She is survived by her four daughters and their husbands, Susan and William White of Huntington, Debra and Bruce Gabaree of Jericho, Sindy and Gary Fay of Huntington, Sheila and Christopher Kleptz of Lincoln; her two brothers and their spouses, Harold and Nancy Stevens of Hardwick, Roger and Shirley Stevens of Richmond; her two sisters and their husbands, Rita and Paul Bradley of Huntington, Jerry and Clinton Hallock of Essex Junction; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; her two sisters-in-law, Margaret Stevens of Colchester, Mavis Stevens of Massachusetts; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Douglas Blish, in 1972; two sons, Douglas Blish Jr. and Steven Blish; three brothers, George Stevens, Stevens and Heman Stevens Jr. A memorial service will be held Thursday, May 5, at 11 a.m. in Gifford Funeral Home, 22 Depot St., Richmond. Dorothy will be sadly missed by her two sons Bryan (Mickey) of Langley, BC and Scott (Christina) of Ladysmith, BC; her daughter Bonnie (Willie) of Armstrong; six grandchildren Michael (Kim), Shilo, Tyler, Danny (Buffy), Nikki (Shawn), and Amanda; two great grandsons Cohen and Mason; two brothers Bud (Betty) Webb of Lake Erock, BC and Russell (Sherrie) Webb of Richmond, BC; and extended family. Dorothy was predeceased by her loving husband Chester in 1961, daughter Judy in 1963, and both parents. Born and raised in Ontario, Dorothy & Chester worked their way west and in 1954 ended up in BC. In 1974 she moved to Armstrong. Dorothy became very active in her new community. She was a well known realtor, President of the Chamber of Commerce, Citizen of the Year in 1999, enjoyed politics and travel to warmer climates. Dorothy was an avid gardener and belonged to the Armstrong Garden Club. She loved painting on different media and flooded her home with photographs. Dorothy will be remembered as a good neighbour and friend having touched many in her life.

BENNINGTON Dorothy E. Kennedy, 85, of 908 Gage St., died Monday at Putnam Memorial Hospital.
Born July 21, 1897, at Saranac Lake, N.Y., she was the daughter of Robert and Elizabeth (MeCiellan) Selfridge.
She was married to Ralph H. Kennedy in 1918 in Faust, N.Y., and later lived in Sackets Harbour, N.Y, where she and her husband operated a farm. Mr. Kennedy died in 1966.
Mrs. Kennedy came to Bennington in 1977 to live with members of her family.
While a resident of New York State, she was active In the Free Methodist Church of Watertown, N.Y. While in Bennington she attended the Missionary Alliance Church here.
Survivors include one son, Robert S. Kennedy of Bennington, and eight grandchildren in Vermont and New York.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Free Methodist Church in Watertown, N.Y. Burial will be in Woodside Cemetery, Bellville, N.Y.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Vermont Heart Fund or to the Missionary Alliance Church through the Hanson-Walbridge Funeral Home, which in handling local arrangements.

Her husband Cecil predeceased Dorothy. Sons, Dave and Dennis, survive her. Also predeceased by one sibling and survived by eight siblings.
A Funeral Service will be held at the Bradley Hall in Coombs, Saturday July 28th, at 10:00 AM. In addition, a visitation will be on Friday July 27th, from 7:00 PM to 9:00PM at First Memorial 1720 Bowen Road, Nanaimo.

 | Doug Edmonstone Doug passed away very suddenly on Friday, February 25, 2022 at the age of 69.
Born in Owen Sound on April 18, 1952, he was the devoted son of Lyle and June Edmonstone (nee Showell) of Waterloo.
He was the beloved husband of Ruth Edmonstone for over 45 years. They lived their married life in Wasaga Beach, Thornbury, and most recently, Meaford. Together they raised three wonderful children; Brent, Shaun (Nicole) all from Thornbury, and Robyn (Kent) of Newmarket. He was a special Papa to granddaughters; Hanna, Alivia, Mabel, Dalilah, Violet, Ellie and Charlotte and fondly remembered by Alexa Jackson, mother to Mabel and Dalilah.
Doug was the dear brother of Brad, Brian, Danny, Jessica, Nancy and Sue, and brother-in-law to Doug Radkey and predeceased by sister-in-law, Kathleen. He will be fondly remembered by aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and many dear friends.
Doug retired from Blue Mountain Resorts ‘Monterra Golf’ in December, 2020. He cared deeply for those who loved him and was always willing to lend a helping hand and was known as the man who could fix or build anything. He was passionate about his Harley motorcycle, original rock and roll, meticulous about his garage and home maintenance. He was always full of stories, laughter, and kindness and really took the time to listen and encourage those he loved. His smile could light up the room.
Doug was a proud former Kinsmen and he and Ruth enjoyed socializing with friends and family and would do anything to help a friend.
Doug’s family extends their sincere gratitude to their many friends and family who have been so supportive throughout this very difficult time.
Cremation has taken place and a private funeral service will be conducted. All are welcome to attend a public Celebration of Doug’s Life at ‘The Corner’ in Thornbury on Sunday, April 10, 2022 from 2 until 5 p.m. All Covid -19 rules and restrictions must be respected to keep everybody safe.

Suddenly in hospital on September 13, 1997, Douglas Albert Baker, aged 74 years. Devoted and loving husband of Evelyn. Beloved father and stepfather of Yvonne (Edward Wagorn), Christine (Darren Gardner), Ken (Susan), Barb Higgins (Barry) and Debby Higgins (Paul). Caring grandfather and great-grandfather. Faithfully served in the R.A.F., England as a wireless operator and rear gunner, 1941-1946. He received the following medals of distinction: Aircrew Europe France and Germany Star, Defence Medal and 1939/45 Star.

 | Douglas Bergman Douglas Jerome Bergman passed away suddenly at his home on April 4, 2023, at the age of 77. He will be forever missed by his devoted wife of 56 years, Sandy (nee Steffler). Loving father of Christine (Mark) Rose and Michael (Jacqueline) Bergman. He was a cherished Grandpa to Nick Rose, and Lilah, Evan, and Gracie Bergman. He was predeceased by his parents, Jerome Bergman and Mary Bergman (nee Sittler), his sister Marylou and his brother Bob. His siblings Barb, Joy, Joe, and Jennifer will also miss him.
Born in Heidelberg, Ontario and raised in Waterloo Region, Doug was an active member of his community, an avid golfer and a devoted Kitchener Rangers fan. Doug will always be remembered for his vibrant smile and welcoming personality. Doug's energy was contagious, and you immediately felt his warmth and sincerity in his presence. Doug was a friend to many and a family man through and through. His most cherished roles were husband, father, and grandfather.
A CELEBRATION OF LIFE will be held on Saturday, May 27, 2023, at Glencairn Church (725 Erinbrook Drive in Kitchener) from 3:00-5:00 PM.
